Addis Ababa -Jinka by Flightll
You are welcomed and picked up from Addis Ababa Airport and in the morning we will fly to Jinka where the car will meet us. We will drive through the Mago National Park to visit the Mursi Tribe. We will return to Jinka and visit the Ari Tribe in one of their villages and also visit their colourful market.

We will drive to the village of Korcho situated on a bend of the beautiful Omo Valley. The Karo Tribe are known for their incredible and elaborate face and body painting using natural materials including chalk, iron ore, clay and charcoal. We will then drive to Turmi and visit a Hamer Tribe village.

Turmi-Omorate-Konso 325km
We will drive to Omorate where will take a wooden dugout canoe across the Omo River to visit a remote village of the Dassenech Tribe which is very close to the Kenya border. The Dassenech are pastoralists who have been forced to move constantly to find feed for their stock and to be near water to grow food and catch fish in this harsh environment. If you continue down the Omo River you will reach Lake Turkana in Kenya where the Turkana Tribe live. We drive back to Konso

After breakfast we will visit the Konso Unesco World Heritage site which is one of 9 heritage listed sites in Ethiopia. The villages are unique in appearance with fortified stone walled walkways set around a ceremonial square. On our way back to Arba Minch we will stop at Lake Chamo to see the crocodiles, hippos and abundant aquatic birds.

In the morning we will visit to the Dorze Tribe who are located north west of Arba Minch at an altitude of 2500m. Dorze means weavers and we will see the fantastic elephant houses which are woven from false banana (enset), loom weavings and other crafts. We will then return to Arba Minch for our flight to Addis.

We will drive from Semera to Erta-Ale. On our way we will visit the salt lake named Afdera for a swim. After lunch we will continue driving to Erta-Ale to see the active volcano. We will walk 30 minutes to see this incredible active volcano then back to our campsite

In the earl;y morning we will walk to experience a wonderful sunrise at the volcano. We will have breakfast back at the campsite and continue driving to Danakil Depression. We will arrive around 4pm to experience an amazing sunset and will visit Lake Asale and Lake Karum as well as the salt mines.

Hamedela-Dallol-Mekele 280km
In the morning we proceed to Dallol (Danakil Depression) which is the hottest inhabited place on earth. It is both an exciting and challenging place to visit. In the morning we will visit the Sulphur Salt Mountains and the boiling mineral waters then continue drive to Mekele.

We drive to Gheralta Mountains to visit the famous AbuneYemata Monastery/Church which was built in the 6th century.We climb up the side of the Gheralta Mountain to reach this incredible church which is on a cliff face. Fantastic views to the valleys below. We continue driving to Yeha Temple where Ethiopian civilization began in 280BC. We will visit Yeha if time allows then drive to Axum.

We will take a morning flight to Lalibela and be picked up and driven 30 minutes thru beautiful countryside to arrive at our hotel in Lalibela. After lunch we will start touring the marvelouis northern group of 6 rock carved underground churches. We will go deep into the 12th century miracle where only the faithfulness seems to be believing. We visit BeteMedhanialem, Bete Marian, Golgotha, Bete Meskal, BeteMickiel, Gologolta and the famous cross shaped St.GeorgeChurch.

In the morning after breakfast we will tour the rest of the southern group of churches like Bete Gebriel Raphael, BeteMerkoriyos, Bete Emanuel, Beta Abba Libanos and in the afternoon we will drive away from Lalibela to visit Asheton Mariam.

We take the morning flight to Gonder and spend the day sightseeing. We visit the famous Fasildas Castle, Trinity Church, (Debre Birhan Silassie) and Fasildas Swimming Pool.

We will drive to the Simien Mountains National Park for a day trip and will spend 2 to 3 hours trekking to meet the Gelada Baboons and look at the mountain flora and fauna. Back to Gonder.

This trip visits the famous Omo Valley Tribes, other Ethiopian indigenous tribes, the wonderful
Bale National Park which is famous for both amazing flora and fauna and the hottest inhabited place on Earth, Danakil Depression.

You are welcomed on your arrival at Addis Ababa Airport andtransferred to your hotel where you will have some refreshments.
We will fly from Addis to Dinsho 450klm. We will be picked up from the Bale Goba Airport and will drive to DinshoHeadquarters where we spend the afternoon having a leisurely hike and will possibly see Mountain Nyala, Menelik Bushbuck and Endemic Birds. The altitude is 3000m. Overnight Campsite around Headquarters (Tokumma Hotel)

We start the drive for our day trip to the Sanetti Plateau in the Bale National Park. This area contains the largest area of Afro Alpine vegetation on the continent. With an altitude above 4,000m the Sanetti Plateau is part of the Bale Mastiff and the vegetation consists of Helichrysum moorland, Giant Lobelia (lobelia rhynchopetalum), indigenous grasses and varieties of Ericas. We will visit the Afro Alpine Lake named Garba Guracha and walk for 2 to 3 hours visiting the Plateau ofTullu Dimtu which is at an elevation of 4,377m. The Afro Alpine area of BNP (Bale National Park) is the main refuge for the endangered Ethiopian Wolf which only has a population of less than 450 individuals and is the rarest caninein Africa. The area is also home to over 13 rodent species and includes the entire population of the giant Mole Rat. Apart from serving as the wolves main food source the rodents also attract many species of raptors including the Steppe Eagles, Tawny Eagle, Black and Golden Eagle, Augurs, Buzzards and Bearded Vultures. We continue driving down to the HarennaForest where we will see many endemic bird and animal species and beautiful bamboo groves as well as waterfalls. Overnight Bale Tokumma Hotel

We drive from Bale thru Robe to Hawassa a distance of 180 klm. We will have lunch in Hawassa then proceed to Lake Hawassa which is the best spot to see hippopotamus swimming. Hawassa – Dorze – Arbaminch 250km
In the morning we will visit the fish market in Hawassa and also the monkeys in the park on the shore of Lake Hawassa. We will have lunch at Arba Minch and then proceed to visit the Dorze tribe who are located North West of Arba Minch at an elevation of 2500m. Dorze means weavers and we will see the famous elephant houses built from False Banana (Enset), traditional dancing and weaving. Arba Minch to Konso 95km
On our way we will stop at Lake Chamo to see the crocodiles, hippos and aquatic birds. Lunch at Konso and then we will visit the Konso Unesco World Heritage Site. This cultural siteis one of 9 world heritage sites classified by Unesco in Ethiopia. The villages are unique in appearance and with fortified stone walled walkways and terraces set around a ceremonial square. We will then drive to a site named New York which has been caused by erosion over many years.Overnight Konso Korebta Lodge

Konso -Omorate- Turmi 340km
On our way to Omorate we will visit a Banna Village to see how the Banna tribe live. At Omorate we will take a wooden dug out canoe to cross the Omo River and continue on to visit a remote village of the Dassenech tribe. This village is close to the Kenya border. The Dassenach are pastoralists but due to the harsh landscape they are forced to move along the river to find feed for their cattle and to catch fish to eat. If you follow the Omo River further South you will end up in Kenya at Lake Turkana which is home to the Turkana tribe. Back to Turmi. Overnight Buska Lodge

Turmi – Kocho – Omo National Park 200km
In the morning we will visit the Hamer tribe who are unique and well known for their bull jumping ceremonies known as Ukuli. We will drive on to the village of Korcho on a beautiful bend of the Omo River to meet the Karo tribe. The tribe are known for their elaborate face and body painting using natural materials including chalk, clay, iron ore and charcoal. We will drive on to the Omo National Park via Nyangatom where you will see some of the Nyangatom tribe famous for the women’s colourful beads. At Omo NP we will do a safari.

Omo – Jinka 152km
We will pass the Bodi tribe on our way to visit the Mursi tribe in one of their villages. The Mursi women are famous for wearing the large clay lip plate. After our visit we will drive to Jinka and in the evening we will meet with the Ari tribe who are well known for their pottery and blacksmith skills.

Today we will fly to Addis and in the afternoon we will be seeing the sites of Addis including Menenlik Palace, The Museum, Mariam Church which was the first church in Addis. We will also visit the National Museum of Addis Ababa to see Lucy. In the evening we will take you to 2000 Habesha Restaurant for traditional food and dancing.

Today we fly at 6.40am to Semera. We will then drive to Erta -Ale which is 290klm. On our way we will visit the salt lakeof Afdera and will swim. After lunch we continue to Erta -Ale to see the active volcano. We will walk 30 minutes to see the volcano and then back to our campsite

In the early morning we proceed to see the volcano at sunrise and then back to the campsite for breakfast. Afterwards we will continue to the Danakil Depression. We will be there around 4.00pm to see an amazing sunset and will visit Lake Asale, Lake Karum and the salt mines.

Hamedela-Dallol-Semera 450km.
In the morning we proceed to Dallol (Danakil Depression)which is the hottest inhabited place on earth. It’s the most exciting and challenging place to visit. In the morning we will visit Sulphur Salt mountains to see the boiling minerals. Continue to Semera to catch our flight back to Addis at 17.35pm
We finish our trip in Addis and say goodbye
